What would you do???

So I don't usually watch the ABC Prime Time programs, but this one really caught my attention.

It was about a person's basic instincts. What would you do?

What would you do if you saw a drunk person getting into their car?
IGNORE
DISTRACT
CONFRONT
or CALL POLICE???

The program showed different senarios. The first one was a business man dressed very professionally. Quite a few people stopped, and asked if they could help.

The next senario was a man dressed in jeans, a ball cap.. quite casual. Not many people stopped.
An elderly lady did happen to stop and pleaded with him to not get in his car.

The last one was a woman, with two children. It was amazing the amount of people who stopped to help the lady out.

I WOULD HAVE DONE SOMETHING..

What if you saw a mother, father or guardian belittling a child in public or being rough.
I would hope you do something.
I have spoken to a mother in Wal-mart one time. I didn't like the way she was speaking to her child. It made me sick. So I spoke up and asked if she needed help with anything. She rudely glanced at me and said "NO". was it rude of me to ask.. That is the question.

If you saw a man and woman fighting in the park would you intervene?
If the man was abusing the woman, or the woman abusing the man?
What if the couple was black?

Crazy eh. It really makes you think. I would definitely try my best to help anyone out in any situation.

I hope you do too!

Snow...

Ok I admit it. I was pissed when Mother Nature crapped on us two weeks ago, but it can't be a green Christmas. If I wanted a green Christmas, I'd go live with the family down in Florida.

So Mother Nature, if you're listening, PLEASE bring some snow on Christmas Eve. I am sorry I called you a bitch and gave you the finger..

Keep your fingers crossed for some snow..

knights game, christmas party

Kathy invited me to her christmas party at the knights game. We had a box, a bar, and free food.
Good times were had by all! Posted by Picasa

Teddy Bear toss

Over 4,000 teddy bears were collected at last nights game. It was a perfect time to throw the bears too. We were supposed to throw then when the Knights scored their first goal. They scored with like 50 seconds left in the first period. Perfect timing.

Blizzard of 2006

Thursday we had a beautiful snowfall during the day. Who knew what we were in for. Thursday night got pretty bad outside. I had a co-worker from out of town spend the night. I got a call early friday morning from another co-worker that the LTC had been shut down and that cabs were only transporting emergencies.
I got my gear on and headed to check out the situation.
As you can see from the pictures Mother Nature took a huge crap on London that night.
The city was under a huge very thick blanket of white fluffy snow.
It was beautiful, but very much an inconvience.
I tried my best but couldnt do anything. My first SNOWDAY!! Posted by Picasa

Oh the weather outside is...

We had so much fun outside on Thursday before the blizzard came.

We bundled up and headed to the back yard. The kids just love the snow, for a good half hour, then we get cold and emotional!

We pulled sleds, dug, and threw handfuls at eachother.

Oh what fun!! Posted by Picasa

digging out the decorations

While I was digging out the christmas decorations, I found my day care things: books, hats, songs, puppets.
I found my really cute book that is funny for kids but has some really great adult humor.
Here is on of the stories!

Something in my brothers underpants
(tune of Winter Wonderland)
Doorbell rings ,Gee who is it?
Party guests, come to visit
The mood is so swell, but what is that smell?
Something in my brother's underpants.
Now I dont like complaining
But my dad is entertaining
The guests and my mom, dont smell the stink bomb
Something's in my brother's underpants.
From the basement we can hear the laughter
Parents sharing cheer while eggnog flows
Christmas songs are ringing from the rafter
How can I sing and hold my nose?
Upstairs it's super-duper
This kid's a party pooper
Mom, please don't deck the halls, come change his overalls
There's something in my brother's underpants.
I love it.. The kids get a kick from the pictures, and the lyrics help pass the time during a long day with 2 year olds.

On line dating?? Is it for me???

So I have taken the plunge and signed up to one of the on-line dating websites.
I have talked to some really nice guys and am glad that I have made some new friends.
I am not keeping my fingers crossed or holding my breath I am taking my time and really getting to know the people I talk to.

I know someone is out there for me. I will find him someday!
