My Life... Crazy, Interesting, and Fun

It's raining, it's pouring...

Well, it is pouring out side and I am so glad to be on the 5th floor. I am no longer in the mouldy basement.
When it rained it leaked, and it smelled really bad.

The only thing is is that this is Rusty's first real thunder storm. When we were in the dungeon, we couldn't really hear the thunder or see the lightining because we had very few windows.

She isn't fond of the noise.. I love it..
And I don't have to deal with wet carpet, a wet wall, and the smell of basement after a rain storm!

Apples, apples and more apples

We went to apple land with the kids and had a great time. From the train ride around the orchard, to the sand hill with tunnels, to tasting the home made apple cidar. The kids had a ball as did we big kids.

Isn't this a wonderful picture? I just love these colors.

Summer's over

Well, Mother Nature has pretty much made it official. Summer is over.
Here are a few shots from my grandma's garden, work garden and Harris park.
Here's to fall.
Red's, yellow's, orange, and brown's are just around the corner.
I enjoy fall.. and can't wait. Posted by Picasa

Heart and Stroke Walk

Today I walked with my grandma and aunt Rosie for the Cheerios Heart and Stroke Walk.
It was in Harris Park and we walked 1 Km..
It was fun. The rain held out and the sun was shining.

The ducks were insane though. Posted by Picasa

ALRIGHT

The gas gods have realized that it's better when it's lower.
I can't believe the prices in gas these days.(I've probably jinxed it, but I don't care)
All you drivers out there enjoy..
It makes driving so much more fun.

Extreme Makeover

I love watching Extreme Makeover Home Edition

And everytime I do, I ball my eyes out. These families have had a rough go at life, and ABC and the crew make these families dreams come true.

There are days where I think my life is tough, or I don't have a certain thing..

My life isn't that tough.. I have a nice apartment, a wonderful supportive family, and huge circle of friends, all my senses. I have alot going on for my self.

I just think it's wonderful that families can be helped when they truly need it.

Tune in to the show for a good cry.

Jordan...

I saw Jordan today!! He's home for a few days to be with family and is back on his way. He will recover on the base and return to combat. He feels obligated to finish his duty.

The story he told us was just awful.

Jordan had many close calls while he was in Kandahar. Someone was watching him very closely.
I just pray that they're still there when he returns.

It was nice to see him. He is very skinny, and has a full beard. I saw one of his injuries and OUCH is all I can say.
The piece of shrapnel that was removed from his leg is being set into glass.. Some people keep stiches, some keep teeth.. Jordan keeps shrapnel!!

Gotta love him..
Welcome home for a few days Jordan, we love you very much.. PLEASE stay away from the goats..

R.I.P Croc Hunter

The world has lost one of the most entertaining Australian bloke's there is.
I mean, who else in their right mind would jump into a swamp to try and catch a crocodile?
At least he died doing what he loved.. Chasing after the deadliest creatures in the desert for fun!

I loved watching Steve Irwin's show and trying to figure out what the hell he was saying.

"G'Day mates, Ah crikey.. Isn't she a beaut!"

Here is some Aussie Glossie..

*Balls up- mistake
*Codswallop- nonsense
*Crikey- expression of surprise
*Dingo's Breakfast- A yawn, a leak and a good look around
*Dinky Di- the real thing
*Dunny- outside lavatory
*Hoo roo- good bye

The desert won't be the same!

Private JPK Lobb

My friend Jordan headed over to Afghanistan last month to fight in the war. He is part of operation Archer.
He headed on a month long tour on August 31, 2006. He is so dedicated to his job, and very excited to be a part of such an important mission for our country.

We got the phone call from Jordan's mom telling us that he was hurt in his tour.
There were 6 soldiers involved. 4 lost their lives and Jordan and another were very badly injured.
Jordan has under gone surgery to remove shrapnel from his back...

That's all I know for now.
We are thinking about you Jordan..

Full or half mast???

Should the Canadian flag be flown have mast when a Canadian soldier looses their life?????

YES, it should. Especially at parliament Hill...
These Canadian soldiers are fighting for peace and are risking their lives every day. It should be recognized every time we loose a father, a friend, a brother, a sister, a mother, an aunt, or an uncle..
The Husky gas and truck stop thinks so.. The massive Canadian flag flies half mast for three days when a soldier dies. GOOD FOR YOU (Dan Hunter, owner Husky Gas and Truck Stop)

Do you think Canada should back out of the war?
YES. I do..

Friendly Fire my ass...

BX 93 Dance

We hosted a BX 93 dance in Dorchester on the 19th of August. Was it fun or what! Who knew that country music could be so good!
I was the bar hop for the night with my dad and a few other club members.. We couldn't open those beers fast enough...

I served from 8 o'clock till 11:30 then it was my turn for drinking... I had a great time.
We made some good money, had some good laughs, and enjoyed some good drinks..

Till next time!

Yee Haw,
jenni

Well, it's been a few weeks since my last post and I was told that I needed to update my post. So here you go Heather!!
I just finished my holidays! Man was it nice to be away from work for a whole week and a day. I did some things around my new apartment, did some voulunteer work, and went to the cottage. So relaxing even if it did rain almost every day!

So the cottage story starts off great. We drove for 3 1/2 hours in the rain and arrived safe and sound at 10:00 at night in the pitch black. (no hydro there)

I reached for the keys and sure enough they were still in London!!! F*%K is still echoing the woods as we speak. Good thing I know how to break in..We had to bring in everything through a window and climb through every time we needed to go out.. All our windows and doors are pad locked from the outside.. We were prisoners inside our own cottage!!!
After that, and once everything was in we were cool. It is so fun up there. We went on a Zodiak cruiser to Flower Pot Island and did some hiking. It was beautiful!
Glad to be back at work, but wish I was still there!
